About the sessions
I photograph newborn sessions in the comfort of your home. No beanbags, props or elaborate poses. Just the real moments. The way you hold your baby, the way your older child leans in for a look, the quiet that settles over the house when everyone finally relaxes.
I bring a background in early childhood education and am completing a Diploma of Counselling. That means I understand how families work and how to move through a session without creating pressure. Sessions are entirely child-led. If your baby needs a feed, a settle or a long hold, we work around it. There is no clock to beat. Sometimes mums leave and have a quick bite to eat while I settle bubs.
I travel to homes across all Adelaide metro suburbs with no travel fee.
Sessions run for approximately two to three hours, depending on bubs and siblings.
What to expect
Before your session, I will send a preparation guide covering what to have ready, how to set the room, and what to wear. You do not need a spotless house or a perfectly decorated nursery. Real homes make for real photographs.
On the day, we move at your baby's pace. I will prompt you naturally, and nothing will feel posed or formal. I focus on the details as much as the portraits: tiny hands, the way your baby curls into your chest, siblings peering over the edge of the bassinet. Most families say it feels more like a slow morning at home than a photo shoot.
When to book
The ideal window is within the first five to fourteen days of birth, when newborns sleep more deeply and curl naturally. That said, I photograph babies up to around eight weeks and sessions after the first two weeks have their own quality, more alert and interactive, equally worth documenting.
I recommend booking during your second trimester. Sessions fill quickly and booking early means one less thing to organise after the birth.

Where will my photography session take place?
My lifestyle newborn sessions are completely held in the comfort of your own home anywhere across Adelaide, that is right, I come directly to you. This keeps the experience relaxed and familiar for your new baby. However, if your family prefers an outdoor setting, we can easily choose a beautiful open-space location around Adelaide instead.
What time of day will my session take place?
In-home lifestyle newborn sessions are booked Monday to Friday starting from 9:30 AM. This timing takes advantage of the best morning natural light inside your home and ensures we have plenty of unhurried time for feeding, changing, and settling your baby. Partners and older siblings might need to arrange a morning off from work, school, or childcare—and don't worry, I promise to keep your secret if you take a special family day off!
How far in advance should I book my newborn session?
It is best to book your session as early as possible to secure your preferred date. Most Adelaide families reach out to book their newborn photographer before their seventh month of pregnancy. Once you are on my calendar, we simply wait for your baby's arrival to lock in the exact date.
How long after my session will I receive my images?
Your hand-edited lifestyle gallery will be ready to view in a private online gallery within 2 to 3 weeks of your session. From there, your turnaround time simply depends on the physical heirloom art you choose to purchase, such as custom Australian-made frames, canvas collections, or fine art prints.
Will my final photos be watermarked?
No, your final purchased digital images and printed artwork will never have watermarks on them. You receive clean, high-resolution files ready for you to print, share, and display. The only time you will ever see my logo watermark is on the sneak-peek preview images I share on my professional social media pages.
What if my baby cries, needs a feed, or won’t settle during the session?
Please do not stress at all, this is completely normal and to be expected. My sessions are entirely baby-led, and because I have a background in early childhood education and counselling, I factor plenty of patience and time into our morning. If bub needs a feed, a nappy change, or just a long cuddle to settle, we simply pause. We move entirely at your baby’s pace, keeping the environment completely calm and pressure-free.
What if my older kids or toddlers won't cooperate on the day?
As a mum and a former student support officer, I speak "toddler" fluently! I never force children to sit still or smile on command, as that usually leads to tantrums. Instead, I make the session feel like a fun game. We focus on natural interaction, tickles, stories, and gentle play. Some of the most beautiful, honest photos come from the chaotic, unposed moments where your kids are just being themselves.
Do I need to have a spotless, "Instagram-worthy" house for an in-home session?
Absolutely not. You have just had a baby, and the last thing you should be worrying about is scrubbing your house. Lifestyle photography is about real life, not perfection. All I need is a bit of natural morning light. Usually, we will just use your master bedroom and the living room or nursery. If there is any clutter you don't want in the frame, I am more than happy to gently slide a laundry basket or toy box out of the way before we start shooting.
What should we all wear? Do you have a client wardrobe?
I love helping mums style their sessions! I recommend opting for comfortable, breathable fabrics in cohesive neutral or earthy tones, think creams, soft beige, rust, olive, or soft blues. It is best to avoid heavy logos or perfectly matching outfits. While I don't provide a full client wardrobe, I am always happy to jump on a quick call or text exchange before your session to help you coordinate outfits from your own wardrobe so you feel beautiful and comfortable.
